Books I'm reading

Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, by Isabel Wilkerson (2020). Deep, difficult at times, and a must read. I learned a great deal. Highly recommend.
Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, by James Nestor (2020). This is a fascinating look at what we all take for granted, and it turns out most of us do it wrong. Highly recommend.
The Weight of Ink, by Rachel Kadish (2017). Everything I love is in this novel. History, cultural, and very smart women. Obviously, I loved it.
The Overstory, by Richard Powers (2018). This novel is for everyone who loves trees and the natural world. I will certainly read it again. 5 stars.
The Elegance of the Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbery (2006). Translated from the French by Alison Anderson. Funny, intelligent, philosophical and sad. Highly recommend.
Blowout, by Rachel Maddow (2019). I had not thought the oil industry a compelling subject, but Maddow makes it so. Recommended.
All the Light We Cannot See, by Anthony Doerr (2014). This Pulitzer winner is the first novel I've read in a long time. It was worth the wait.
Beyond Biocentrism; Rethinking Time, Space, Consciousness, and the Illusion of Death, by Robert Lanza, MD, with Bob Berman (2016).
