As I've mentioned before, summer in Oregon brings a slew of little festivals and we've been exploring some that are new to us. Yesterday, with the temperature hovering in the 90s, we went to the
Daffodil Hill Vineyard Lavender Festival. The best part of this festival is the location, a private home surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. Owned by artist
Judy Phipps, it's a place you want to pick up and hug. Art was everywhere. So were flowers, trees, and shady spots with welcoming seats and charming views. We wandered through her studio and gardens, talked to vendors, had lunch and a glass of wine, and eventually found seats with a view overlooking flowers and mountains—and didn't want to leave. Here are a few photos that just
begin to capture the ambience. If you're in Oregon next year at the end of June, put this one on your list.

These flowers enjoy a 180-degree view of the rolling hills.

A vendor booth. Made me want to start quilting.

The grapes are destined for Eola Hills wine.

The owner's 1950 Chevy pickup, named Daphne. What a beauty!

All things lavender can be found inside. The sign reads, "What happens on the porch stays on the porch."
